About

Issam El-Halabi, MD, has been practicing pediatric gastroenterology for nearly three decades. Taking care of patients is his passion.

As a parent to three children, he knows the importance of approaching patient care from a parent’s perspective. He is sure to spend as much time as possible with patients and families because every minute spent with them helps him better understand why they are seeking care.  He reviews his patients’ comments and feedback on regular basis so that he can learn how to be a better physician. As an educator, he passes this approach to the many gastroenterologists he has trained over the years.

In his spare time, he likes to exercise and be active. He believes that healthy body is a prerequisite for a healthy mind.
