Julie Miller, FNP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than 30 years of experience in nursing, including over a decade as an advanced practice nurse. She cares for patients of all ages, providing wellness visits, preventative care and health maintenance, as well as treatment for common urgent care needs such as cough, sore throat and ear infections.

Julie was drawn to nursing by the combination of art and science in caring for patients. She takes a collaborative approach, emphasizing shared decision-making and open communication. She is interested in caring for rural and otherwise underserved groups and is also a researcher and educator at the Sinclair School of Nursing.

Julie and her husband live in their hometown of California, Missouri, where they enjoy spending time with their two young adult daughters and three dogs. The family loves all things Mizzou, from their football season tickets to women’s basketball and softball. Julie’s hobbies also include running, yoga and golf.
