About

Kevin Bartow, MD, is a general surgeon who focuses on patients who have problems in their gastrointestinal tract. These issues range from hernias and gallbladder disorders to colon cancers. In many cases, he performs repairs with minimally invasive robotic surgeries, which allows him to reach the problem with small incisions. With that approach, patients recover quicker and get back sooner than they would after traditional open surgeries.

Dr. Bartow is a lifelong Missourian who grew up in Nixa, graduated from the MU School of Medicine and completed his training at MU Health Care. After 10 years of private practice in Cape Girardeau, he was drawn back to MU Health Care because he enjoys the energy and innovation of an academic health system. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and relaxing with his wife and four daughters.
