Thomas Xu, MD, is a board-certified surgeon who specializes in bariatric (weight loss) surgery, as well as other surgeries of the esophagus, stomach, pancreas and liver. Dr. Xu takes pride in helping patients solve their problems and offering education on disease processes to enable patients to make informed decisions on their care.

In his free time, Dr. Xu likes running, cooking, traveling, watching sports, and spending time with his parents in St. Louis.

Dr. Xu’s published research includes a manuscript demonstrating that frail patients with giant paraesophageal hernias could have them safely repaired.
