Express Care-Battle Avenue

Express Care offers same-day, walk-in care for minor illnesses and injuries in people ages 2 and up. No appointments or prior care with MU Health Care is needed.

Express Care clinics are:

• Affordable: Express Care services are billed the same as a primary care visit (rather than an urgent care or emergency room visit). If you have insurance, you’ll pay your regular office visit copay. If you don’t have insurance or choose not to use it, you can request an estimate of charges prior to being seen.
• Integrated: All of MU Health Care’s hospitals and clinics use the same electronic health record, which means we can conveniently access medical history, medications and allergies. We can also update members of your care team.
• Schedule-friendly: Express Care clinics have extended hours to help you get the care you need.

We offer fast, convenient care for common, minor health issues. If you have a health emergency, please visit one of our emergency rooms.

Our Express Care locations offer the following services and care:

• Acute respiratory infections
• Cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, including COVID-19 testing
• Congestion and sinus infection
• Ear infections
• Ear wax removal
• Eye irritation or pink eye
• Fever or sinus pressure
• Insect and spider bites or stings
• Mononucleosis spot test
• Minor rashes or skin irritations
• Seasonal allergies
• Simple rashes and cold sores
• Sore throat and strep throat
• Staple and suture removal
• Stomach bugs or mild nausea
• Streptococcal test
• Ticks and head lice
• Urinary tract infections (female only)
• Urinalysis
• Adult tetanus boosters
• Scouting America camp physical — $30 (form required; payment due at time of service)
• Child camp physical — $30 (form required; payment due at time of service)
• Childcare provider physical — $50 (MO-580-1879 form only; payment due at time of service)
• MSHSAA sports physical — $30 (Fill out required form before appointment; payment due at time of service)

Battle Avenue Medical Building also has on-site lab, imaging and pharmacy services open during their normal business hours, adding an additional layer of convenience for care.
