Kari Malwitz, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than a decade of experience treating adult and geriatric patients who have neurocognitive disorders, bipolar disorder and psychotic disorders. She offers treatments including those that do not use drugs (non-pharmacological management) and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT).

Dr. Malwitz emphasizes the personal side of care, treating each patient as someone who has a medical condition rather than focusing on the disease.

At home Dr. Malwitz’s family includes her child, two dogs, a school of tropical fish and a sulcata tortoise. She enjoys hobbies like kayaking, running, rapping, writing, fishing, swimming, volleyball and puzzles.

Kari Malwitz, MD, is a clinician and researcher whose work focuses on the treatment and investigation of anxiety, depression, mood and psychotic disorders, and management of behavior disturbance in neurocognitive disorders. Her research efforts include work published in The American Psychiatry Journal on the impact of antipsychotic medication use in women with breast cancer.
