About

Julie Riley, MD, is a board-certified urologist and surgeon with two decades of experience caring for urinary tract conditions, including surgical and medical management of kidney stones, kidney transplantation and ureteral reconstruction.

Dr. Riley knew she wanted to become a surgeon from an early age and is excited to serve the people of mid-Missouri during vulnerable, difficult moments in their personal lives. Her care philosophy is that all patients deserve great care, and that the most vulnerable patients deserve the most “VIP” treatment. Dr. Riley believes in listening to patients and creating solutions that work for them rather than simply prescribing medicine or performing surgery. She also believes in working with other doctors to create an easier work environment and improve care for patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Riley and her husband, Brian, have dedicated themselves to fostering and adopting black Labrador retrievers because they are some of the last to be adopted. Currently, they dote on Izzy, a 6-year-old black Lab mix. Dr. Riley is also an avid endurance athlete and enjoys running and open-water swimming. She has completed several Ironman triathlons, ultramarathons and even an Ultraman triathlon.
