About
Hamsa Sahib, MD, is a fellowship-trained hematologist and medical oncologist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. She has dedicated her career to studying and treating this disease.
She has always felt her purpose is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. As an oncologist, Dr. Sahib feels privileged to support patients and their families during incredibly challenging moments in their lives and is honored to guide and care for people when they need it most. She is committed to personalized medicine in her practice, which means adjusting each patient’s treatment plan to meet their health, values and personal goals.
Dr. Sahib is passionate about advancing breast cancer care through clinically driven research, with a focus on understanding the tumor genomics underlying breast cancer in young women. Dr. Sahib is dedicated to providing patients access to innovative therapy through participation in clinical trials. She prioritizes managing treatment-related side effects to improve quality of life and carefully de-escalating therapy for older patients when appropriate to reduce toxicity.
Outside of work, Dr. Sahib’s hobbies include treasuring time with her family, learning to play the violin and listening to audiobooks. She and her husband, who is also a physician, have two daughters who are constant sources of joy, inspiration and love.
