University of Missouri Health Care has named Matt Frederiksen-England chief compliance officer after a nationwide search.

Frederiksen-England will be joining MU Health Care October 1st from Billings Clinic health system in Montana where he serves as chief compliance officer and integrity officer.

“Matt has extensive experience developing, implementing and maintaining health care compliance and patient privacy programs,” said Rick Barohn, MD, Executive Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs and Dean of the MU School of Medicine. “I am confident that Matt will be an excellent addition to our executive team as we continue building our talent for the next decade of growth.”

Prior to serving at Billings Clinic, Frederiksen-England served as chief compliance and privacy officer at Banner Wyoming Medical Center, as well as in compliance roles at Acadia Healthcare and IASIS Healthcare.

He holds a doctoral degree in health care administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He is certified in health care, privacy, and research compliance.

Frederiksen-England will succeed Julia Settles, MD, JD, who has served as interim chief compliance officer since December. She will resume her role as director of risk and regulatory affairs once Frederiksen-England arrives.
