Jackson Road Medical Building
The Boonville, Mo. building opened to patients on March 27

MU Health Care celebrated the grand opening of its new Jackson Road Medical Building in Boonville today. The 14,000 square-foot facility opened its doors to patients on March 27.

The building, conveniently located at 516 Jackson Road across from Walmart, features an urgent care with extended hours, primary care, imaging including a CT scanner, lab and therapy services.

“This new facility in Cooper County is our largest clinic outside of Columbia and provides a new model of care to include primary care, urgent care with advanced imaging and therapy services—all in one location,” said Nim Chinniah, interim chief executive officer at MU Health Care and vice chancellor for health affairs. “This new facility would not have been possible without the collective effort of the community partners who worked alongside us throughout this project.”

The new Jackson Road Medical Building expands upon MU Health Care’s presence in rural Missouri, to include clinics in Fulton, Fayette, Ashland and the most recent in Mexico.

“Combined with MU Health Care’s 25-year affiliation with Capital Region Medical Center, it demonstrates our continued commitment to ensure local access to high-quality health care for communities across Missouri,” said Chinniah.

When Pinnacle Regional Hospital closed in February 2020, MU Health Care joined with Boonville and Cooper County leaders to find both immediate and long-term health care options for the community. In July 2020, MU Health Care opened its eighth family medicine clinic at 102 Isle of Capri Blvd. in Boonville with providers the community already knows and trusts.

The MU Health Care Family Medicine Clinic in Boonville has relocated to the Jackson Road Medical Building featuring family doctors Mona Brownfield, MD, Robert Koch, MD, and nurse practitioner Lori Weekly, FNP.

“I have always been proud to be a citizen of Boonville, and I have always been a proud graduate of MU,” said Brownfield. “This new building with the MU Health Care logo makes me even more proud. It signifies stability and continued access to quality health care for the citizens of Cooper County for years to come.”

Mizzou Therapy Services, which is celebrating its 10-year anniversary in Boonville also moved into the Jackson Road Medical Building, relocating the present team including physical therapist Jennifer Hackman.
