Komal Ashraf, DO, a neurologist and director of MU Health Care’s Concussion Program  will be in Las Vegas on Saturday, Feb. 10 to participate as an expert panelist at the 11th annual Brain Health Summit held during sports agent Leigh Steinberg’s annual Super Bowl party.

The 2024 Brain Health Summit brings together expert panelists to discuss the latest research and topics in neuroscience, including the internal and external factors that play a role in brain function.

“Dr. Ashraf is passionate about advocacy and leadership to increase concussion and brain health awareness,” said Brandi French, MD, chair of the Department of Neurology at MU Health Care. “She was instrumental in helping MU Health Care become a premier site for evaluating athletes for concussions, including participation in concussion settlement programs with the NFL and NCAA. Her selection to participate in a high-profile conversation about brain health at the Super Bowl signifies the prestige of our concussion and neurology programs.”

This is the 37th year that Steinberg has hosted his Super Bowl event to raise money for charity. This year’s non-profit partner is the Special Olympics.
