MU Health Care's Jefferson City cardiovascular rehabilitation program has earned certification from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), recognizing the program’s commitment to high-quality care for patients recovering from or managing cardiovascular conditions.
Cardiovascular rehabilitation programs help people with cardiovascular conditions, including those recovering from heart attacks or coronary artery bypass surgery, recover and live healthier lives. Programs combine exercise, education, counseling and support for patients and their families.
To earn certification, the program completed an application process requiring extensive documentation of its practices. AACVPR uses an outcomes-based certification process with performance measurements focused on meaningful patient outcomes. Certified programs demonstrate their commitment to high-quality patient care and adherence to established standards.
“This certification reflects the commitment our team brings to our patients every day,” said Dr. Sostanie Enoru, MU Health Care cardiologist. “For patients and families in Jefferson City and throughout the region, it is another indication of the high-quality cardiac care available close to home. We’re incredibly proud of our team and the work they do to help people recover, live healthier lives and get back to doing the things they love.”
AACVPR Program Certification is valid for three years. Click here to learn more about MU Health Care’s cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation services.
