Masks will continue to be required in all facilities

MU Health Care is further relaxing restrictions on hospital visitors and visiting hours as COVID-19 cases continue to decline, but masks will still be required.

Effective Monday, March 21, adult and pediatric inpatients at University Hospital, Missouri Orthopaedic Institute and Women’s Hospital can have two visitors per patient room at a time. In addition, two designated visitors will be permitted for adult patients diagnosed with COVID-19, but those visitors must remain masked and may not leave patient room except to exit the facility.  Missouri Psychiatric Center will allow just two visitors for both adult and pediatric patients.

Visiting hours will now be offered each day from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at all facilities except Missouri Psychiatric Center, where the hours are 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.  The parents of pediatric patients can visit at any time.

All visitors must be at least 16 years old. Missouri Psychiatric Center visitors must be at least 18 years old. Zoom and FaceTime will continue to provide patient access to family and friends who cannot be present.

Emergency Department patients, those undergoing same-day surgery and testing, and those attending clinic visits will also be permitted two visitors.
