Nearly 30 MU Health Care physicians were also honored for the quality and quantity of their published research

MU Health Care has been selected by Avant-Garde Health as a 2025 Healthcare Research All-Star, ranking in the top 5% of hospitals publishing leading-edge health care research.

The Healthcare Research All-Star Awards honor outstanding physicians and hospitals whose contributions to research significantly enhance the quality of patient care. The study examined the research of more than 4,700 hospitals and 424,000 physicians and includes only the top 5% based on the quantity and quality of their published research.

In addition to MU Health Care’s institutional recognition, 29 MU Health Care doctors were named Healthcare Research All-Stars and ranked within the top 5% of their specialty.

Five MU Health Care physicians ranked in the top 1% of their specialty. That list includes Dr. James Stannard and Dr. James Keeney for orthopedic surgery, Dr. Ahmad Ali for internal medicine, Dr. Chirag Bavishi for cardiology and Dr. Adnan Qureshi for neurology.

Avant-Garde Health initiated the publication of the Healthcare Research All-Stars to honor the outstanding physicians and hospitals whose contributions to health care research significantly enhance the quality of patient care.
