At MU Health Care, we use leading-edge laser technology to help you see clearly without glasses or contacts.
If you want better vision without having to wear glasses or put in contacts, LASIK eye surgery may be a good option. LASIK, which stands for laser assisted in situ keratomileusis, quickly and effectively reshapes your cornea to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness or astigmatism.
Our ophthalmology team performs this outpatient procedure using advanced laser systems that help you heal faster and see better within days.
Am I a Candidate for LASIK?
At MU Health Care, we take time to understand your vision goals and explain your options so you can determine whether LASIK surgery is right for you.

- Are not pregnant or breastfeeding at the time of surgery
- Have nearsightedness (myopia) with up to -12 diopters of sphere and -6 diopters of astigmatism
