The practice of local ear, nose and throat specialist David Mechlin, MD, has affiliated with University of Missouri Health Care, effective Oct. 1.

The collaboration follows the recent affiliation of two local ENT providers, Gregory Campbell, MD, and Elizabeth ‘Susie’ Early, MD. MU Health Care is home to more than 600 university physicians, including 17 ear, nose and throat providers.

“We are dedicated to providing patients with exceptional primary and specialty care,” said Jonathan Curtright, chief executive officer of MU Health Care. “We are excited that Dr. Mechlin is joining in our mission of saving and improving lives as an affiliate of MU Health Care. He has close ties to our university, and we look forward to this collaboration.”

Mechlin earned his medical degree from the MU School of Medicine, where he also completed an internship and residency. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

He will continue to see patients at his Columbia office at 303 N. Keene St., Suite 401. Under the affiliation, Mechlin’s patients have many options of where they would like to receive inpatient and outpatient care. They will have additional options as he has privileges at MU Health Care inpatient and outpatient facilities such as Women’s and Children’s Hospital and the ENT, Hearing and Balance Center of Missouri. The MU School of Medicine will employ Mechlin.
