WHAT: University of Missouri Health Care is holding a comprehensive orientation program for new nurses who are starting with less than six months of clinical experience. Immersion Week is an innovative 32-hour program that kicks off MU Health Care’s year-long nurse residency. During Immersion Week, nurses experience a variety of patient-care scenarios in simulation labs, attend lectures and develop relationships with mentors. The entire residency is aimed at giving our new graduate nurses the clinical support and training they need to successfully transition from the classroom to patient care.
