MU Health Care will make temporary changes to its is COVID-19 drive-thru testing site due to bitterly cold temperatures this weekend and reduced demand for testing.

The drive-thru site at Mizzou North, located at 115 Business Loop 70 will be open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, and will be closed Saturday, Feb. 13 through Tuesday, Feb. 16.

The site will re-open with modified hours on Wednesday, Feb. 17. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Normal normal hours of operation will resume Thursday, Feb. 18. Normal hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday.

Testing volumes have decreased from more than 3,000 per week in August to an average of 1,700 weekly in January and just 1,329 the first week of February.

Those in need of COVID-19 testing this weekend can go to Mizzou Urgent Care or Mizzou Quick Care. However, Mizzou Quick Care does not accept walk-in visits. Patients must schedule an appointment online in advance and an associated clinic charge will apply.

Patients suffering severe symptoms or breathing problems should go to the emergency department or call 911.
