Story Summary

At 10 years old, Parker Leuther conquered his fear of heights when his dad convinced him to ride Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City. What began as a terrifying challenge turned into a spark of fascination, leaving Parker hooked on roller coasters and even dreaming of designing them one day.

That same rush carries over to the football field, where Parker, now 14, plays offensive and defensive line for Fulton High School. Known for his size and energy, he’s remembered for knocking opponents down with ease and bringing determination to every play.

Off the field, Parker is quiet and grounded, shaped by years of roughhousing with his three younger brothers. The confidence he gained from sports and the love of his family prepared him for a much greater challenge.

In 2024, Parker was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia, a rare and aggressive blood cancer. What started as lingering flu symptoms and severe stomach pains led to urgent care visits, tests, and finally a diagnosis at MU Health Care’s Children’s Hospital — marking the beginning of his toughest battle yet.
