To make your parking experience as quick and seamless as possible, please use the following information to help guide your visit.
If you need emergency care, adults can visit our emergency room at University Hospital and park in the lot by the emergency room entrance or in Tiger Avenue Parking Structure. Children should go to our Children’s ER, with reserved ER parking spaces available in Tiger Avenue Parking Structure. Missouri Psychiatric Center patients and visitors should park in the same garage.
To access these parking locations from Stadium Boulevard, turn north onto Monk Drive, then turn left at Hospital Drive; or from College Avenue, turn west onto Hospital Drive. Follow the signs for ER parking for the adult ER, or for Children’s ER turn north onto Deans Drive and park in Tiger Avenue Parking Structure.
Patients and visitors arriving at University Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center or University Physicians Medical Building should park in the Patient and Visitor Parking Garage or Parking Structure 7. Please do not park in the University of Missouri's Virginia Avenue Garage as this is permit-only parking, and you may be ticketed. Please follow directional signage and refer to the map on this page.
Patients and visitors arriving at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute should park in Parking Structure 7. A second story enclosed pedestrian bridge is wheelchair accessible. Please do not park in Lot CG1/X as this is permit-only parking, and you may be ticketed.

Summer 2023 Construction
As we work to create a centralized hospital campus with the addition of our new Children’s Hospital, we are also working to make traffic and parking around the hospital campus better for our patients and visitors with the following summer projects. Thank you for your patience as we strive to make parking more efficient.
Tiger Avenue
The intersection of Tiger Avenue and Hospital Drive will be closed from May 15 until the end of July as construction crews work to convert the intersection to a roundabout to improve traffic flow. During this construction, please follow marked detours and the instructions above to find parking.
Parking Structure 7
Starting May 22, we will begin the process of installing a digital parking system on the west side of Parking Structure 7. Once complete, this system that includes automatic digital signage will display the number of parking spaces available on each level of the garage.
During this work, we will close one level of the garage at a time limiting the number of spots available. However, patients and visitors will still be able to park on the open floors of the first three levels of Parking Structure 7 and in our Patient and Visitor Garage during this time. The skybridge between Level 2 of Parking Structure 7 and the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute will remain open throughout this entire process. This work is expected to last until the end of June.
Patient and Visitor Garage
Once work on Parking Structure 7 is complete, installation of the automated digital signage is scheduled to begin in the Patient and Visitor Garage starting on June 26. In addition to the installation of the parking system, a new vehicle entrance will be added to the northeast corner of the garage for patients to easily enter and park to visit our new Children’s Hospital. To complete these projects, the Patient and Visitor Garage will be closed starting June 26 through the end of July. During this time, patients and visitors are asked to park on the first through fourth levels of Parking Structure 7.
Please note that construction dates are estimates and subject to change.
