Three years ago, Lori Westhoelter’s sister battled cervical cancer at Ellis Fischel. To honor her sister’s memory, Lori decided to give back to our patients by providing care bags that include items such as lip balm, lotion, handmade cards and Girl Scout cookies.
“When my sister was battling cancer, we lived up on the eighth floor,” Lori said. “I know how hard it is for patients up there, and the smallest little thing can light up their eyes.”
For the past two years, Lori has been partnering with local businesses and individuals to help fill the care bags. This year, Lori and friend Sharon Koebel delivered an astounding 30 bags, with plans to deliver even more next year.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful donation, Lori. You truly are brightening the days of our patients!
